QUESTION: I HAVE A GEWEHR LAUF STAHL 12 GAUGE DOUBLE BARELL SERIAL NUM 420807 INSIDE IT HAS A EAGLE WITH A N UNDER IT ,IT ALSO HAS THE NUM. 1270 INSIE NEAR BARREL WHEN YOU OPEN IT,IT ALSO HAS A LEAF  NEAR THE EAGLE, TELL ME HOW MUCH DO YOU THINK ITS WORTH, REALLY VERY CLEAN,NO SCRATCHES ,AND HOW OLD IS IT,  PLEASE HELP ME, IM 75 YEARS OLD,   JOE CATRINI  IT HASE A STRAP ON IT TO.ON THE BARREL IT HAS GEWEHR LAUF STAHL   MADE IN GERMANY

Rounded pistol grip style stock, with slight hunting wear. Crack in stock (see photo). Crack doesn抰 seem to effect performance, and there is no movement in crack when opening and closing gun. Forearm has alittle play in it. Chipped buttplate. Proofed June 1938, so C&R ok. WWII era gun. Double triggers, screws look perfect, scalloped action, nitro proofed, Rt handed cheek piece, extractors, sling swivels, rib extension. Barrel bores have some pitting to mid barrel. Barrels are 29.5" long and choked at full (dime will not enter end of barrel). Barrel stamped with SVENSKT SPECIALSTAL SANDIKL (Swedish special steel). LOP is 14 3/8" over original buttplate. Action case colors roughly 40%. Lefaucheux action, with back action locks. Blue on barrels 10%, with small spots of external rust/pitting on barrels (see photo). Rounded pistol grip stock with hunting wear. Looks like a repair near the action. Barrels are 28 ? and LOP 14 ?. 16 Ga shotgun barrel is slightly pitted, still 95% overall. The 28 Ga barrel is rifled, and has pitting near mid barrel, still 75% overall, clear rifling. Gun has sling swivel, rt. handed cheek piece, double triggers, extractors, and weight is 8.2 lbs.
