New Haven 20 g
Question
QUESTION: I have an old bolt action New Haven 20 gauge shotgun. It is a model 485T, s# 1318616. It shoots 2 & 3/4 or 3 inch shells, full choke, holds 2 in the clip and one in the chamber. It has iron sites with a bead on the barrel. It looks like walnut maybe. It's in pretty darn good shape and I never use it so I thought about selling it but wasn't at all sure of anything about it really. If you can tell me anything about it that would be helpful.
ANSWER: You have house brand Mossberg Bolt action shotgun.
Basically the same as the 385 but lessor blueing and cheaper wood.
Yours was made 1970s era.
Mossberg made bolt action shotguns from pre-WWII to very recently.
Its worth $80 to $100 in good to excellent condition.

QUESTION: Okay, Thanks, that helped alot.I've got a matching Bolt Action 410 New Haven so I would say it's probably worth about the same. Two more for you if you don't mind. I've got a Western Field model 740 A-EMN lever action 30-30. Also an Ithaca 12 gauge model 37. I think the serial number is 206022. that's on the barrel so I wouldn't think it's the serial # but it's the only # I found. So anyway, if you could tell me anything about these two guns, I'd appreciate it. Thanks.
