dry firing the 380 backup single action

Question
Hi Rick, I forgot to ask one other question and that is can you
dry fire the amt 380 backup single action pistol without damaging
anything internally. I want to lube the slide and was thinking about
using the left over points grease as it seems to be for high wear
and high heat. Not sure if greasing the slide is the right thing
to do. I've never owned anything except revolvers in the past. I
currently have the pistol well oiled, maybe thats all your supposed to do with these style guns. Whats your opinion on grease
vs oil on the slide? Thankyou very much for helping this graying
old vet. who also finds the eye sight and memory going south also.

I would not use grease on guns, they tend to collect and attract dirt, unburned gun powder, shaving and other stuff. Grease is normally only used for packing and shipping and should be all removed before doing any shooting. In fact the best oils have the lowest tolerance of thickness (thinness) If you get the specks on oil the best will have the smallest amount of thickness.  Corrosion X is a really good oil, you can find it on line.  This oil is much thinner than Break free, which I like too, but I like Corrosion X.  By thinner it only has a layer of oil .0003 thick.
