Remington 1100 classic trap
Question
Hi I have a Remington 1100 classic trap that I bought a few years ago as I was shooting trap on the High School level. I never really got the hang of the gun and the raise on the stock threw me off. My question though is it has the standard golden eagle on the side, but on the bottom of the stock is a small golden flake roughly a half inch long and 3/4 inch wide. I have never seen this on another model is it something that would have came stock or something added. I want to know because I want to sell or trade it to get a Remington 1100 G3 model. Thank You
Answer
Hello Ryan. I have not turned up any Remington 1100 Classic Trap, nor any other Remington with a gold flake on the stock. Therefore, we must assume that it was added post-manufacture. Beautiful firearm. I have come across several 1100 CT's and 1100 G3's during my search that are slightly used for around $850.00. I don't know if this is a good deal, but just thought I would through it in. I do thank you for asking for me and I hope I helped answer your question. Charles Gage
