Question
I got a 20. ga. double barrel fox/stevens with double trigers. It is like a new gun.It is a model B.under the barrels between the forearm an stock it has a copper plate with the fox symbol on both sides.I gave $500 for the gun what can you tell me about it maybe age an was that a good price on the gun. Thanks for your time.JEFF
Answer
Savage Arms purchased the A.H. Fox Company in November of 1929 and produced the fox gun until 1942, as the US entered WWII. The gun sold brand new for $25.75 back in those days. A Model B in perfect condition runs about $750 dollars, so a gun in good to decent condition will sell for 500-600 bucks. Check out the link I am attaching, a good read for a good shotgun!
