price on shotgun? Douglas arms 12ga s/s

do you have ANY info on my Douglas Arms 12 ga s/s dbl bl dbl hammer shotgun serial #26467  other mark is 03no hallmarks anywhere just says Douglas Arms Co.

Douglas Arms Company was a trade name used by the Hopkins and Allen Company of Norwich, CT on shotguns they manufactured.  Hopkins was in business from 1868-1917.  They were later purchased by Numrich Arms.  The shotguns using this trade name were made in the early 1900's and had a chamber of 2 9/16" vs. the standard length of 2 3/4".  There were three models, a double barrel with hammers, a hammerless double barrel and a single barrel model.  Modern cartridges will not fire in this gun.  In addition, if the barrels appear to be spiral wound they are Damascus steel and are probably not safe to shoot.  Some of the later models were made with standard steel.
These guns are basically mantle pieces and don't have much in the way of value.  They might be worth between $100-$150, depending on condition, but certainly not more.  If it has sentimental value, you might wish to hang onto it.
