stevens 22/410
Question
I recently acquired a stevens 22/410, it has no forward or rear stock the metal is in fair shape. I was wondering if parts were still available and the value of this piece could be.
on the left side it reads STEVENS then in smaller type beside that it reads stevens arms company and under that chicopee mass.
any insight you could give would much appreciated.

These were pretty popular little guns during their heyday. They were made primarily between 1939 and 1950. In 1950 they started calling them a Stevens Model 24. In excellent condition, they are only worth about $125-$150. I believe the stocks were plastic which might account for why they didn't survive on your gun.
Parts are pretty hard to come by on these guns as they are old and were never considered to be anything other than an inexpensive, utilitarian gun.
You might check Bob's Gun Parts for a replacement stock. You'll probably need to give them a call, but there is a good change that the Model 24 replacement stocks will fit it. This will be a project for fun, not for profit as the stock is probably costs as much as the gun is currently worth.
