bren ten
Question
Hey Dave,
Thanks for your time. I have a 10mm bren ten that i bought off a collector about 6 months ago. I dont know if you remember the bren ten but it was made by dornous&dixon in the mid 80's.
Anyway, the gun is NIB and has never been fired. I am wondering if it would be safe to shoot a couple times a year?
Or is the gun inoperable since it hasnt been shot in 25 years?
Or do you think I should just recondition it before shooting? And what would reconditioning entail?
Thanks
Answer
Not firing the gun for 25 years should not have caused any problems unless it has rusted, accumulated dirt, or had the lubricants harden. You should strip it to examine for same, remove old lubricant and re-oil. If you are unsure, a gunsmith could take a look at it for you.
Hope this helps!
Dave
