Fox / Savage Model B 20 gage shot gun

Dear Sir
I have a Fox Model B, 20 gage shot gun that I can not figure out how to take apart for complete cleaning. Can you help me with this or tell me where I can purchase a manual showing how to disassemble it?

Paul,

You should be able to find an owner's manual online.  I located a schematic drawing of the shotgun you have at the following website:

It is really not necessary to take the entire gun apart for cleaning.  If you are not a skilled gunsmith or very familiar with shotgun actions, I would caution you against taking things apart.  You will potentially have difficulty getting it back together.  For the most part, you should be able to clean the barrels and chamber without disassembly.  If the trigger mechanism is in need of cleaning out, you can spray it with a product like "Powder Blast" from Breakfree which will blow the crud out.  Trigger mechanisms typically do not need much in the way of lubrication.  More than a drop or two is too much and will actually attract dirt and crud.

If the gun has either rust or corrosion inside the mechanism, you may want to find a gunsmith who can do a restoration...
