WWII Handgun
Question
Hi,my dad was in WWII and he brought home,he believed a German hand gun.He recently passed and I am trying to find out exactly what it is.On the side one side it has J.P.Sauer&Sohn,Suhl.Cal.7.65.The one handle grip has it looks like double S with a small u in the middle. No hammer, internal firing megnaisum. It looks to have very small figures on it looking like some kind of bird.Plastic handle grips. We have no clips and the one side of the handle grips is broken. Can you help me out in any way of knowing what it is,and maybe what it may be worth, although it wont be sold in my lifetime.Thank You Very Much!Shelley

Value is is anywhere from $150 to $25000 depending on which model variation and condition.
You should get appraisals from a few gunsmiths.
Some are collectible others not.
Someone needs to look at it in person.
