Answer
Hello Sheila. Your rifle is a Remington NO. 6. It was in production from 1901-1933. There were over 400,000 of these made. The NO.6 was an economy version of the previous five versions (NO.1,2,3,4 and 5)of the rolling block action. It was available in a 'flat-sided' very plain receiver and stock. It had a 20" round blue steel barrel with a 'take-down' action. These were also available in .22 caliber. A good starter gun for a small framed person, but especially a child. I hope this helps answer your question and thank you for asking for me. Charles Gage
