Hello thanks for your time.I givin a Revelation Model 312 2 3/4 Chamber bolt action with a 2 shot clip Western Auto Supply Co.Its my first gun.Are these gun safe,what is a safe shell to use,because I would like to take my teenage son hunting in TN we're new here nothing else to do.But never owned a gun like this before thanks again for your HELP .

I actually 3 of these myself.
You have store branded Mossberg bolt action shotgun made somewhere between 1950s and 1970s.
If it has a serial number it was made after 1968.
It should be safe to shoot with any 2 3/4th inch lead shot shells and are standard velocity.
1165 fps.
You did not say what gauge it is or what choke it has?
If it has C-lect Choke or detachable choke do not high velocity shells (more than 1225 fps).
If its a fixed choke you can use high velocity.
I would not use Steel shot.
I do not recommend slugs with choke that tighter than improved cylinder.
