Colt 38 police special positive
Question
I am inheriting this firearm which as a barrel length of 100mm. Canadian Law states that a restricted firearm must have a barrel length longer than 105mm otherwise it is considered to be prohibited. Can I purchase a longer barrel or is it possible to have a barrel lenghtened?
Answer
I have no idea about CA law, but I am sure you can have the barrel replaced with a longer barrel or maybe have an extension added such as porting, but I think both would have to be done by a gun smith, not aware of an easy way, you may be able to get a waiver from the state since it has historic or if you were to keep is as collectable and not for shooting.
