Belgium Browning 22 grade II
Question
Where might I find the engravers signature or initials on my grade II browning 22? The lady I bought it from, said she went to Belgium and had it custom made to her specs in around 1957. It appears to have the letter "T" on the top front of the trigger guard, and there are numerous markings on the barrel under the forearm. Any info would be deeply appreciated. Thanks.

Answer
Generally, the initials will be on top of the receiver just below the game scene. Typically, the early grade II & III's didn't have any intitals or names engraved on them. You can go to the Browning website to date the firearm using the serial number. If you would like to call me to discuss further or sell feel free to do so. 417-830-5588
