Woodsman colt 22, serial# 97870

Hi,

I am trying to determine just what it is I have. Woodsman Colt .22 cal, serial number 97870. There are no alfa's in the serial#, there is nothing on the but of the stock like Target match or sport.

Can you help me identify? I cant seem to match it up with any info on line. Fisrt thought is it is a first series, 1937-or 1938?

Looks late 1935 to early 1936.
The Woodsman Sport had a 4 1/2 inch barrel.
The Woodsman Target had 6 5/8th inch barrel.
