JC Higgins Over & Under
Question
QUESTION: Paul,
From what I've read, JC Higgins shotguns are not considered collectible. However, I have a JC Higgins 16 gauge over and under
shotgun (w/double triggers).
I have not seen this gun mentioned anywhere on the net. Do you think it's a rarity? Maybe worth something?
Thanks,
David
ANSWER: There should be a model number on it. I can not id it with out it.

Answer
Hi again,
You have a house branded (sears) Marlin model 90. Yours was made after WWII. Very nice handling gun. I fired one, 5 weeks ago. Its worth $300 to $900 depending on condition. There one for sale at Ken's Guns & Ammo in Penn. They want $850. 16ga.com you can find other owners. Prices have been going up on these. 2007 top dollar was $500
