model 30
Question
I just bought a western field browning model 30, 16 gauge. Heard it made by savage in early 1900s? Any info would be great to know.
Thanks
Zack
Answer
Hi Zack,
The Western Field / Browning M-30 was manufactured on a Browning patent Savage/Stevens manufacture prevalent in the 20's and 30's. The Western Field name was given to firearms sold through Montgomery Wards.
The firearm has little collector value today and if in average condition would have a retail value of approximately $150.
Thank you for your question
