Rossi - pre-braziltech

I recently purchased a great litte shooter.  It is a Rossi model 92 lever action with blued case, saddle ring and 20 inch barrel.  The serial number is "K 045145".  It was apparently manufactured prior to Rossi changing its importer from Interarms to BrazilTech.  This model predates the safety mechanism that is on all current model 92's.  The serial number check on the Rossi home page only dates back to the BrazilTech change.  Any idea how old my rifle is?

Interarms was forced out of business by BATF.
They likily have the records. I do not have a serial number cross referance for Rossi.

I would write Rossi directly.
