Question
I have tried to take my handgun apart many times and I can not get the handgun to break down. Is there some trick to breaking it down? I really need to clean it. Please help
Thanks Mike
Answer
Michael,
Having never handled a Jimenez product, I'm unfamiliar with how they come apart. If they're anything like the Jennings products that went before them, however, there may be a plunger on the rear of the slide that can be pressed in once the gun has been dry-fired. Push it in and lift the slide out of the frame, that's how Jennings guns came apart, but I don't know about Jimenez guns.
Be careful with it, however, as Jimenez was actually shut down at one point by the State of California because parts would "come off" of the gun unexpectedly.
Sorry I couldn't be more helpful,
Kyle
