Question
Can a federal firearms dealer sell these JA9s without even mentioning the reported defects and injuries? Did CDOJ put any requirements on the sale or did they just order that they stop being manufactured

Answer
Ralph,

The California Dept. of Justice banned the manfacture and sale of this handgun after extensive testing. Testing revealed that there were many malfuctions concerning this pistol.

After the California action Jeminez relocated to manufacture firearms in Henderson NV. to avoid the restrictions that were in place in California.

Current NV law does not set any minimum safty standards like those that shut down the company when in California.

As long as the company meets all of the requirements of the state and Fed's I know of no special obligation to inform a potential customer of any of the guns history.

Thanks,
---Sid---
