We found a Handgun

Question
We just bought an old farm house and found a handgun stashed in the wall.  It has EIG Model 15 Germany stamped on it.  I believe that the handle has been change, and other than the serial number there are no other distinct markings on it.  Is there any way that you could give me any history or information on this particular weapon?

With the information available to me I cannot reply as to the specific gun in question. However, I can advise that EIG was an importer of inexpensive guns during the 50's and 60's.

They originally sold in the under $25 range and have very little value today. In fact I'd be reluctant to even shoot many of them with todays ammo.
