Question
I have just got a Puma(Rossi) model 92 with a 16" barrell in 357/38.Are they good guns? I bought it new for $350.00 and it is a neat looking little gun. Thanks for your responce, bye Keith.
Answer
Hi Keith,
Are they good guns? That is a very subjective issue. What is "good" anyway? If you feel that you paid a fair price for it, enjoy shooting it, not had any problems with it, then I'd say by those standards it indeed is a good gun.
What I'm getting at here is that this is often a hotly contested issue by the "experts" and users of firearms in general. In other words, usually it is a matter of who you ask.
I personally know of nothing that would cause me to advise you that your M92 is not a good gun. They are what they are. Relatively inexpensive (not to be equated with cheap) reproduction type rifles built to allow a person to purchase, own, and shoot one at a reasonable price with decent quality.
If I were interested in this type of rifle, I would not hesitate to purchase one and go about shooting it. Just keep in mind that it was not designed nor manufactured to be a $1,000+ gun so don't expect it to be one (now or when selling) and you'll be happy with it.
Thanks for the question Keith. Shoot safe !
