Rifle Sights

Question
I have a C.G. Haenel Suhl rifle that is missing the rear sight. Cal is 9X57 mauser. Front sight is a flip up ivory or silver. Rifle is engraved, and is octi.Serial # is 1170xx. Still shoots good with the side mounted scope.
Where can I get a rear sight?
The dove tail cut is large, to large for standard sights.
I have been looking for 5 yrs now.
Any help would be great.

If you have not already exhausted them as a source, give them a look. If you cannot find what you need via the site, contact them and they may be able to help you or direct you to a location that I can.

Sorry to hear that Jack. To be honest, I've had about 90% success with them and their parts availability and/or their ability to refer me to another source. So they told you to "make one yourself" that is kind of interesting (?).

I'll continue to research this for you when I have time. If I come up with anything additional, I'll let you know.
