s x s shotgun

Have an old s x s shotgun. On side it has round engraving w/dog head. Also on side Norvell-Shapleigh Hdw.Co. St. Louis U S A. On water table it has Pat. May 23-93 and Patents pend'g. There is a # in various places of 7825. Top of barrel has diamond w/words "blue diamnond" What firearm co. manufactured this double barrel shotgun?

The guns that were made for the Norvell Shapleigh Hardware Co. were under the trade name "Diamond" which were firearms imported from Turkey by ADCO of Wolburn, Mass.

Information and value on these are a bit difficult to obtain. However, I would estimate that the firearm in question in "good" condition to have an approximate retail value of $250 to $450.
