QuestionI recently purchased an FNH SLP shotgun which comes with two different sized gas pistons. The larger size piston for 1 1/2 oz or larger ammunition and the smaller for 1 1/4 or smaller ammunition. What size is used for 2 3/4" 00 buck 12 pellets? Thanks.

Most 2 3/4" 00 buck shells contain 9 pellets that are 54 grains each for a total shot weight of 1.1 ounces, thus I would probably use the smaller piston. I haven't owned or operated an FNH SLP shotgun however so I can't give you a definitive answer. To be sure you should contact the manufacturer as follows:
