Question
I have a Stevens Model 39A 410, its bolt action and tube fed. I'm interested in when it was made, and how many, also if there is a location to find a manual and or original advertisements for this weapon. Thanks Dennis
Answer
Hi Dennis.
I am not an expert on Stevens shotguns but here are some links and info that might help.
The Model 39A was only manufactured from 1938 to 1945. You can find more info about the history and value at this site. They have some info for free and other info you can download for only $5 or $10.

You can also search the web for many free images, some of which might lead you to a source for purchasing the original manual or advertisements. Use the following search link and browse through the images until you find what you are after. If you can't find anything in the first few hundred search results then try changing the search terms slightly, such as "stevens model 39", "stevens 410 shotgun", "39a shotgun manual", etc. You should also check again once every few weeks since the web content changes significantly in just a short time.

You can also try searching the various auction sites for similar firearms. Anyone that owns the same gun might be able to sell you the manual or other related items. When searching the auction sites you can also look at the completed items since you can contact the new owner and ask them to see if they have any info which will help you. Here are some of those links:

Hope this helps!
