dasiy red rider bb gun

Dear BOB
     I got a dasiy red rider bb gun a wile ago and today it just stoped shooting and i saw a bb that was jammed i took the gun apart to get it out but to problem was i cant get to it how may i go about this  and remove the bb

Hi Derrik.

I can't properly answer this question without inspecting the bb gun.  Here is some general info that might help you.

Make sure the bb gun is unloaded, uncocked, with the CO2 cartridge and any spare BBs removed.  Always keep it pointed in a safe direction and keep your finger off the trigger at all times.  Disassemble the bb gun according to the manufacturer's instructions.

If you are able to access both ends of the barrel (where the bb enters the breech / chamber and the muzzle) then try this process:

Use a bb gun cleaning rod which you can get at Walmart or many other stores.  These are usually nylon, brass, aluminum, or metal.  Push the cleaning rod in through the muzzle and gently tap on it to see if you can get the bb to come back out through the breech / chamber end.  Do not force it if it is stuck, you might make the situation worse or damage the bb gun.  If it won't come out then you can try inserting the cleaning rod through the breech / chamber end assuming that you can remove the barrel in order to get to it.

If the above process doesn't work, or if you can only access one end of the barrel then you will need to take the bb gun for repair.  Call the manufacturer and see if they have a repair center in your area, or if they will let you mail it in for a free repair or replacement.  If this doesn't work then look up a local gunsmith in your yellow pages and they might be able to help.  They have special tools for removing stuck projectiles from barrels.

If you can't get it fixed professionally then do not try anything else yourself.  Even if you do get the bb out there is a good chance that you will damage the bb gun in the process, or that it was damaged in the first place so it won't be safe to shoot again.
