Answer
Hello Shane, Your Springfields were made by J.Stevens Arms Co. Chicopee Falls, Mass. Stevens made a line of about 8 rifles that they named Springfield. Your Mod 15 if it is marked Springfield it, was made from 1937 to 1948, from 1948 to
1965 they made the Mod. 15, but it wasn't marked Springfield. In the Twenty-Ninth Edition on the Gun Traders Guide your rifle is worth $90.00 in GOOD condition.
The Mod. 53 was made from 1935 to 1948 and is also $90.00
in GOOD condition. The Mod. 87 was made from 1938 to 1948
and were designated the Springfield 087. This mod. was changed in 1948 ( added a peep rear sight and hooded front sight) and changed it to the Mod. 87-S and it was discontinued some time ago. The Traders Guide list the Mod.
087 at $108.00 in GOOD condition and the 87-S at $121.00.
I hope I have been of some help.
