Howdy,is there a exact definition for small bore and large bore.Have just joined my local shooting club and would like to start competing but I am not sure if I have the proper calibers....thanks

Small bore refers to .22 long rifle rimfire cartrige.
Large bore can either any center fire rifle.
In some clubs or events its limited 30 caliber and larger rounds. 30-06 Springfield. .308 Winchester 300 Winchester Mag.
are common target rifles. Service rifle also uses in .223 Remington in M-16/AR-15 as well 30-06 Springfield, and .308 Winchester in M1/M-14 type rifles.
