QUESTION: I found this gun in an oud barn. I would appreciate any info. on this 'Wards Hercules 12 Guage'.(on firing mech.)
'Proof Tested 12 G'. 'Selected Forged Steel'(on the bbl)

Hercules: Trade name used by the Iver Johnson Arms and Cycle Works on shotguns made for the Montgomery Ward and Company of Chicago.
Iver Johnson model 36.
These were made from 1909 to 1957.
Exellent condition $175, Very Good $100 Good $75 Fair $50
and poor $25.
The exact year is of manufacture is not available as Iver Johnson is out of business.
