Question
Paul,
I have a Beretta 9mm that i recently got and have not been able to find out any information about it anywhere except for the 92F i belive it was. on one side of the receiver it is marked "Beretta U.S.A. corp. Ackk.,MD.- made in USA" it also right beside it has a symbol of "PB" with a circle around the "PB". right under that is the serial number BER134759 Z. on the other side of the receiver its markings say "MOD. 92G - CAL. 9MM parabellum - PATENTED". the pistol grips have the beretta symbol and under the symbol P. BERETTA. the beretta has a decocker on both sides and a magazine capacity of 15. It's a really great gun to shoot. it has a super smooth recoil. if you would please if there is any information about this beautiful piece would you mind letting me know. also could you let me know the value too. its the first pistol i have bought. i belive i bought it from the pawnshop for around $350.00.
Thank you for your time !

Answer
It is a US military variation of the 92 series, the 92FS added a slide-retaining pin, the 92F does not have this change. You got it for a very good price. The "PB" are proofmarks for Pietro Beretta. Beretta is about the worlds oldest manufacturer having started out in 1526....so they know their stuff! Value in 60% condition is about $275., in 98% condition about $500.. Also there are many variations that affect value related to grips, sights, finish, etc. Thanks
