Answer
Hi Ron.
To find a parts source you have to first confirm the exact model of your rifle. Here is a link to the Blue Book info on the J. Stevens rifles which will allow you to get online access to all the data needed for identification, age, and confirmation of value:
https://store.bluebookinc.com/download/SalesPage.aspx?product=GUN&id=940
This will cost you $10 or you can buy access to the entire Blue Book for $35, or you can buy the Blue Book for about $35 at any major local book store.
This link sells parts diagrams for most Stevens rifles which should contain the exact part descriptions and model numbers:

Most firing pins are fairly simple parts and any good gunsmith should be able to find you one or make one for you. They might also help you confirm the model number so I recommend looking up "gunsmith" in your local yellow pages or just inquire at a local gun store or gun club and they will probably refer you to a good source.
And just in case you need more information here is a search link for J. Stevens rifles. You can edit the search terms as needed to find similar results:
http://www.google.com/search?hl=en&q=j+stevens+22+rifle
I can't help more without knowing the specific model number of the firearm but this should be all you need to get it done. Good luck!
