i have a .38 smith and wesson and im trying to find a manufacture date i understand that u cannot answer this question. but do u know somewhere where i can find out a manufacture date if i have the serial number?

if you do i would appreciate this information

Go to the Smith & Wesson website, to "Customer Support" and scroll down to the question, "How can I find out the history of my handgun?"  Click on the link.  There is a request form.  According to the website, turn around is 8-12 weeks due to volume.
