Question
Can I use a mossberg tactical 500a for clay/skeet shooting?
Answer
As long as it has a full stock you can.
If its only a pistol grip in the back, then no.
Also if it a pistol grip on the pump it will be difficult.
I would recomend you put a traditional Synthetic, Como or wood stock. It will be easier on you face and give a better sight plain. Folding tactical are really designed for extremely short distances. Like 10 to 15 feet.
You need a longer barrel.
You would want a 26" barrel with impoved cylinder for skeet. You also use one with choke tubes or C-lect choke.
You bead sights.
You would need 26" or 28" barrel with choke tubes or
with C-lect choke for sporting clays.
28" to 30" barrel for trap with Modified or Full Choke,
choke tubes or c-lect choke.
