Question
I have a beautiful S.A 1911 A-1 .45 that I bought on the spur of the moment and wouldn't trade off for anything. try as I might to find a twin to it, i have had a really hard time doing so, and the FEW I have found are EXTREMELY expensive. Do you know of any places that carry them at at least MSRP, or maybe a little above?
Answer
Most S.A. 1911 pistols are pretty high quality so the prices are not always very friendly. It can be even worse if you are looking for an exact match, especially if the exact model is discontinued. I generally get the best prices from online dealers. Sure, you have to pay shipping and a transfer fee to the local dealer but you usually don't have to pay tax and often the savings is better than the local price. Try the following auction sites to see what you can find. Most of these auctions sites also allow you to search the closed auctions as well so you can see what similar items actually sold for in recent times.
