Question
I have inherited an H&R 922 revolver. I would like to at least have an estimate of the age of the gun. I do have the serial number. Also, if you could tell me what company manufactured the gun. Thanks!
Answer
Hi,
Harrington & Richardson (H&R) made your revolver.
The model 922 was made between 1950 and 1982.
There is database available to exactly date these inexpensive revolvers. Its worth $40 to $100 depending on condition,
H&R was bought by Marlin in 2000.
Its now known as H&R 1871.
They have not made revolvers since 1985.
There was a first model 922 made from 1919 to 1942.
It would likily have wood grips.
Real early ones had 10 inch barrels.
No difference in value.
