QUESTION: Sorry,no number on the underside of the receiver. Any more suggestions? It does have a poly choke if that helps with the value or approximate year...
Sam
ANSWER: Sam,
I believe you might have an Auto 5 produced by Remington during WWII. Browning contracted with Remington rather than FN in Belgium during this period. Look to see if Made in Belgium is anywhere on the barrel. If not, then it will be a Remington produced shotgun from 1940-1947. If you could send me a picture of the receiver I will know for sure. Thanks.

Answer
Sam,
I am not familiar with the Remington Auto 5's, but I suspect it maybe worth $400 to $700, but I really don't know for sure. Don't sell it short. You might google Remington Collectors to see if there is a sight with information about Remington Auto 5's.
