Question
I have been looking for this pistol ASTRA A-70 (9mm or .40)in the Philippines for almost a year.Does the manufacturer of this pistol have any outlet/dealer in this part of the world? I am interested of this gun because it is lightweight, small, and concealable and most importantly it is single action. Are there any other pistol of this size and caliber that is single action?
Answer
Jupri,
The model A-70 is a lightweight semi-auto pistol chambered for the 9mm and/or .40 S&W cartridge. It is fitted with a 3-dot combat sight, has a barrel length of 3.5" and a magazine capacity of 8 rounds for 9mm and 7 for the .40 S&W. It has black plastic grips and blue finish is standard. The weight of the pistol is 29 oz. I did a bunch of looking around and didn't have much luck finding any Astra dealers.
Here is a link to Guns America. They listing for the Astra model 75 in both 9mm and .40 caliber listed.

You might want to consider something like a Glock 19 or 23 however. It is going to be about the same weight and dimension, will be much easier to find parts for if it breaks (which it probably won't...) and you will be able to find holsters. I realize that it is not 'single action' but you might try shooting it. Also Kimber makes a 9mm 1911 single action style pistol called the Aegis. It is a very nice gun, but will be considerably more expensive than the Astra or Glock.
Hope this helps you out...good luck in your search.
