Question
we have a 16 gage eastern arms single shot riffle with the numbers on it , 105.9 A6796. can you tell me the value of it? it is in great shape. thank you
Answer
Hi Trish,
Eastern Arms was the 'house brand' name used by Sears and Roebuck for period of time earlier this century. From 1905 to 1915 it was a company called Meriden Arms. After that it was a variety of other manufacturers including J. Stevens, Iver Johnson and others.
I need to know what the approximate age of the gun might be to even begin to figure out who made it and how much it might be worth. Are there any other markings on the gun at all? What about the barrel? Any information at all might be helpful, no matter how inconsequential it might seem.
If you can send me a follow up, I will try and help you out.
Regards,
Doug
