Question
I have a Browning .22 semi-auto rifle and need to know more info for
insurances purposes. The rifle has a stainless receiver with squirrels engraved
on both sides. The serial number is 01931 PMxxx. It was given to my Father-
in-Law years ago and has never been fired. It is in the original presentation
box and would be in the 99-100% range. The insurance company needs an
approximate value to quote me on a rate. Appreciate any hel you can give.
Answer
Herb,
I am not very familiar with the newer Brownings. I collect only the Belgium made Brownings from 1950-1974. Your rifle is a Grade II auto takedown. You can call me at 417-830-5588 and I will try to answer your question, but I need to know a few more things about the case.
I suspect you might have a Browning Custom Shop takedown. I am available at the number above from 4:30 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. CST.
