Question
Hi Sid,
I just bought a Winchester 70 in 338Mag,and I want to install a scope that I will removed on some other rifles I have.
I have two choices.A Bushnell 3200 3X9 part # 32-3944M or a Burris Fullfied II 3X9 with Ballistic Plex part # 200162.What will be your preference, has you know the 338 Mag has a big recoil.

Answer
Laurent,
Either should function (assuming good working condition etc.)OK on the .338 and this issue is of course somewhat subjective.
If it were me.......... I'd opt for the Burris. Overall I personally feel that it is constructed a bit better and it has great glass. You are correct about the recoil however, your mounts and rings are just as important. Do not use aluminum rings/mounts or cheap rings found at the discount stores.
If you go with the Burris and quality mounts and rings, it is unlikely that you'll experience any problems.
Thanks for the question Laurent.
