Mossberg model 25 rifle

2016/7/22 9:17:20

Question
I have an old Mossberg model 25 rifle that has been in the family for years. I know its not worth anything but the question is how old is it? I think my grandfather got it in the late 1940's. I did a web search and surprisingly found nothing.

Answer
Cliff,

If your "old Mossberg" is a model 25 it was introduced in 1935 and discontinued in 1936.

Mossberg also manufactured a model 25A from 1936 to 1938.

Either model in "good" condition would have an approximate retail value of $65 to $75.

I hope this helps you out and thanks for the question Cliff.
