N.R. Davis & Sons-- Diana

Question
I'm trying to find out more about this gun. It was used by my grand father to harvest his first deer in Wisconsin. I've had it for years and would like to know what the choke was on the "Diana" model. The number stamped on the barrel is 2734. The receiver also has Davis Warner Arms Corp., Norwich, Conn. USA. I hope this is enough information for you.
Thanks,
Michael Edens
Answer
Hi,
The Davis Warner name means it was made between 1917 and 1930.
(Davis formed in 1853 and Merged with Warner Arms in 1917)
They were inexpensive but good quality guns.
The only way to determine the choke on you gun is to check it with a choke gauge. Here is a cheap one if your gun a 12 or 20 gauge.
