Question
Hi Doug
My question is a simple one but you have no idea how difficult it is to get an answer because over here in Northern Ireland we don't have any local gun dealers I go and ask and Glock do not make themselves available for contact through the internet. I have a moderate knowledge of guns and am also a great reader of crime and spy fiction. The author of a particularly bad novel I read recently has someone using a "custom tooled Glock revolver", no model or calibre stated. I believe that if Glock ever made revolvers they certainly don't now and that all their hand guns are semi automatic pistols featuring the three stage trigger safety. Discussion has raged in the local bar and bets have been laid. I came up with your knowledgeable site while having another look for information and I'd be really grateful for your input, not least because ownership of several beers rest on the outcome. So,do Glock make revolvers, did they ever to your knowledge? Many thanks.
Kind regards.

Answer
David,
I just about spilled my coffee I laughed so hard about this one. The author you speak of has not only written a bad novel, but also has a terrible lack of knowledge about guns.
Glock has never made a revolver. Their first gun was the Glock 17, a full sized, polymer framed, semi-automatic pistol calibered in 9mm. Everything after that has been the same type of gun with variations in size and caliber.
Since I expect you will be the proud consumer of a few pints as a result of this, enjoy a pint of Guinness for me. I've spent a fair amount of time in Dublin and loved my visits to Ireland.
Glad I could help you out...
