Question
Dear Bob H.
Do you have any information on the New England Mini Pardner? I bought the gun and can't find any info on it online. It is a 20 Gauge with an 18 and 1/2 inch barrel and a 3 inch cylinder. Are they rare? Do you know any websites I can go to for info on them?
Thanks
Anthony
Answer
Hi Anthony.
New England Firearms were made by H&R but sold under the NEF brand name. These are almost always very common low-value shotguns so it probably doesn't have any significant value other than sentimental or as a shooter. To be sure you need to look up the info in the Blue Book for your specific model. You can find a complete listing of the Pardner models and their corresponding values at the following site:
https://store.bluebookinc.com/InstantAccess/Model.aspx?product=5&id=1289
They have the NEF information which you can purchase for download or viewing online at a discount, or you can buy the entire book as a CD or printed version for not much more. It is well worth it to get the whole book especially if you have more than one firearm.
If you contact H&R directly then they will most likely send you a printed version of the original owners manual for free and they can probably tell you the date of manufacture for your gun based on the model and serial number. You can visit their website to get a lot of info, here are the links:
Download an owners manual as PDF:

Get information about parts or repairs:
http://www.hr1871.com/support/repairs.asp
Contact H&R:

If you are looking for some other information then here is a good general search link:

I hope this helps. Good luck!
Bob
