browning .22 cal pistol

QUESTION: I have a browning .22 caliber semi-automatic pistol, long rifle, barrel length 4 1/2 inches, serial number 12834709, made in Belgium.  I would like to know the model, and where I could get a parts list for same or breakdown.

Please take a look at the serial number you have provided. Are you sure there isn't a letter in the serial number. Look for a P,U,T. The letter code will help me determine what model you have. I suspect the "0" you have provided might actually be a "U". If so, then you have a Browning Challenger assuming there is no engraving, then it is the standard model. Let me know and I will try to help further.

Appreciate your rapid response.  You are correct, I did mis-read the serial #.  Correct # is 128347U9.  It doesnt have any engraving on same.  Any suggestion as to where I could find some parts or mechanical breakdown info for field stripping.  Thanks

You might look at E-bay and type in Browning Challenger. From time to time you see breakdowns and instruction manuals on there. Another option is to contact Browning directly. Another option is to go to www.commemorativearms.com.  I suspect Nick will have a breakdown guide for the Browning Challenger. Hope this helps.
