Question
is there a huge difference between the .22lr vs the .22 magnum(pistols) as far as recoil? is the .22magnum easy to shoot just like the .22lr?

The recoil difference between the two is negligible.  You probably wouldn't even notice a difference.  The big difference is the muzzle velocity.  The .22 WMR (Winchester Magnum Rimfire) or .22 Magnum in common parlance is capable of much higher muzzle velocities.  To give an example, the muzzle velocity of .22WMR at 125 yards is equal to the muzzle velocity of a .22 LR as it exits the barrel.

Just understand that the gun must be chambered for .22 WMR.  The cartridge is longer and has a larger diameter than the .22 LR.  The projectile is the same size but the case needs to be stronger to handle the higher pressures of the magnum round.  A gun chambered for a .22 LR cannot shoot the .22 WMR.

There are a fair number of rifles calibered in .22 WMR from well known manufacturers.  Pistols are a little hard to come by in this caliber.  The two bigger makers, AMT and Grendel don't have a very good reputation when it comes to reliability and quality.  Smith & Wesson makes a version on the Model 648 platform.  I think Taurus makes a version as well...
