found rifle

Question
We found a rifle that is a 22 cal in the walls of a house being remodeled.It has a cover that you pull a rod up to put it the shell then fold it back over to shoot the gun... it isnt a bolt action , this cover raises straight up in the air..The only markings are DRP ,germany,MED1 or 11 in roman numbers... It also has a design of some type animal on top, we cant decide what... Any help you can give or if you know of where we might can find any,, thank you..

Hello Robin. I have a little information on this rifle. It is German made. Deutsche Werke DRP Model 1 24" barrel .22lr-5.4mm. I was amazed at what I found. There is a picture on GunBroker.com. The item number used there is #113461098. I hope this helps you continue your search. Charles Gage
