Question
I have a double barrel W.H. Richards shotgun and I would like to shoot it but I do not know where I can get shells for it and also it needs a firing pin. Can you help me locate these items?
Answer
Hello Thomas. I ran across your question just now. You asked about ammunition for it. Is it a Damascus or fluid steel barrels? if so you MUST shoot only black powder shells in it. "GUN SMITH ALERT" I highly recommend you take it to a licensed and competent gunsmith to inspect the bores for any damage. He can also measure the chamber depth. Most guns of this type shoot 2 1/2" or "2 9/16" length. You may be able to get the firing pin from one of these dealers; BOB'S GUN PARTS;POPPERT'S OBSOLETE GUN PARTS; BROWNELLS or MIDWAY. You can also check MIDWAY for the black powder or short shotgun shells. I am sorry it took me so long and I hope you have had these questions answered. Again, thank you for asking for me.
