ammo for 3 inch barrels in .45

I have seen on some show within the last 6 weeks that they have developed ammunition for automatics with 3 inch barrels in .45 caliper.  Do you know what company it is?  I just bought a Kimber Ultra Carry and need velocity for stopping power.  This ammunition was especially for this problem the loss of velocity.

Speer Gold Dot has recently been released in their SB (short barrel) configuration. The terminal performance of projectiles is greatly effected by their velocity which is in turn effected by barrel length.

The Speer Gold Dot SB has been specially designed to perform properly out of short barrel guns (2-3.5 inches).

This is a work in development, and Speer first released this round in .38 Special. It has also been released in 9mm and .40S&W. I had not heard that it was yet released in .45 ACP, but it may well have been, OR (as is frequently the case in the small arms world) the advertising was released before the product is available to generate interest.

I tell you that so that you are not discouraged if you cannot find it right away. It will be out sooner or later. But Speer Gold Dot SB is what you are looking for.
